Mobile Remote Deposit Endorsement

When depositing a check through the JBT Digital Banking Mobile Remote Deposit service, make sure you use the endorsement listed below.

Your signature AND “For Mobile Deposit Only at JBT” underneath is required for all checks deposited via JBT Digital Banking Mobile Remote Deposit.

If you deposit a check without this mandatory endorsement, the check will be rejected. You will receive an email notification that your “deposit was rejected due to the absence of a restrictive endorsement” at the email address on file for your JBT Digital Banking account.

MOBILE REMOTE DEPOSIT ENDORSEMENT FAQS

  • Is this a JBT requirement or will all financial institutions have this requirement?

    This requirement is the direct result of a change to Federal Regulation CC (Availability of Funds and Collection of Checks) and applies to all mobile deposit capture services. It affects all financial institutions, not just JBT. Each financial institution establishes its own procedures related to mobile deposit.

  • Is this endorsement required on all checks I deposit at JBT?

    No, this endorsement only applies to mobile deposits and is not required when you visit a JBT branch or JBT ATM to deposit a check(s).

  • Why is this endorsement required? It's so much longer than a regular endorsement.

    We know the endorsement is long, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

    This longer endorsement is being used to protect your deposits so that items are not accidentally presented a second time at another bank when they have already been deposited via your JBT Digital Banking Mobile Remote Deposit service.

  • Can I use the check box in the endorsement area rather than using this new endorsement?

    No, the mobile deposit check box and space for the date is for your record keeping only and unfortunately does not meet the requirement for mobile remote deposit endorsements.

  • If I am depositing a check for my JBT business account, do I need to sign my name with the mobile remote deposit endorsement?

    No, business clients should endorse the check "For Deposit Only" – and indicate the name of the payee on the check plus “For Mobile Deposit Only at JBT” underneath.

  • If I use JBT Remote Deposit Capture service for my business account, is this endorsement required for the checks I deposit?

    No, clients using JBT Remote Deposit Capture have a different endorsement requirement. The endorsement that needs to be used when depositing a check through JBT Remote Deposit Capture service through the scanner or RDC Mobile App is:
